Careful with Spellcheck

Spell check is different than proofreading. Your last act before submission is to read what you wrote. Spell check can miss some misspelled words and change correctly spelled words.  Here are a few actual examples:

trail court = trial court
sea sponge = sua sponte
yo = you
bee = been

  1. Spell check can also make, The Honorable Judge, the “Horrible” Judge!
    I am a paralegal in Pascagoula. I had this happen once, but caught it before the letter went out.
